Getting Started
Step1: Logging In
In order to start using your myFileHut Account you must enter your username and password shown below. After you enter your username and password Click Login and goto the next Step
Step2: Uploading your files
After you login you will see a similar screen as below, next you will want to start uploading images and files to your account, Click the UPLOAD button as shown below.
Step3: Upload Control Panel
After the upload page loads, you will see the following screen. This is master controls for how you upload your files. The diagram below is outlined with Letters, each refrence to the letter will be covered.
A: Folder Selection
Use this when you have multiple folders in your account. By selecting the folder here, this will determine where your files will be uploaded on your account.
B: If Files Exists
This option is used in the event that one of the new files you are uploading, is either already in that folder you are uploading to, or there is already a file or image in that folder with the same FILE NAME. Located in that drop down menu are three selections
-Skip: This tells us not to upload any files that you may have selected to upload, that already exist or have the same name in the folder for upload.
-Rename: This tells us IF one of the new files that you are uploading has the same name as a file that already exists, that you will want to rename the new file being uploaded.
-Overwrite: This tells us, that if the file already exists, that you would like to replace it with the one that you are uploading now
C: Create [IMG] tags
Having this box checked will give you Image Codes, for use on Forums, web pages, and a direct link. After the files have been loaded
D: Create thumbnails
Having this box checked will tells us that you would like Thumbnails of all the pictures you are making, a thumbnail is a smaller version of a large image, this is usually used when people want to link pictures on a website, but dont want to use the LARGE images, because it makes the web page look cluttered and un-organized. Instead people use the img link code of the thumbnail, to point to the direct link of the larger image.
E: Extract Zip files(Batch uploading)
This option is used for Batch Uploading, for a very detailed guide for what this does and how to use it

F: Browse
This is how you select the files you would like to upload. First your Click Browse, then a screen will appear showing you your files on your computer, search through your computer to locate the files you want to upload, and then select each file individually, or Zip all the files you would like to upload and use the BATCH feature explained above. You will see your files appear below the "browse" button, as you add them.
G: Upload
After you are done selecting the files you want to upload, click this button to begin the uploading process.
H: Cancel
Click this if you would like to cancel the upload.
Step4: Uploading
A: Click Browse
Click the Browse button.
B: Select Location for files to upload
Click the Drop down menu, and select the location where your files are stored.
C: Select the file to upload
Click the file you would like upload once.
D: Click Open
Click Open
E: Your file
Here you will notice the file you just selected will be added to this list, to add more file to this list go back to step A and repeat Steps A to E until you have selected all the files you want to upload.
F: Begin the Upload
Click Upload, and start the process of uploading your files, this process can take several minutes depending on the size of your images and files. Do not keep clicking upload if you think nothing is happening, a good way to know if your files are being uploaded if to look for THESE after you click upload, this will appear on the bottom of your web browser.

Step5: Image Tags Explained
After you files are done upload, you will see the Img Tag Screen, These are the links and Codes to publish and Share your files. Each type of image code will be explained here.
[img] - Used on Forums and bulletin Boards
The Default tags that are shown after you upload are the [IMG] tags, these tags are used on Forums or Bulletin Boards.
When you make a post on a forum and want to include images on your myfilehut account this is the code you will want to use.
Simply right click your mouse over the box with the code, click Select All, then right click inside the box again and click COPY. When you goto make a post on a forum or a bulletin board, simply right click in the MESSAGE box, and click paste. After you Submit your Post or Message on the forum/bulletin board, you will see your images appear, if that forum/bulletin board allows you to post images.
<img> (FOR IMAGES ONLY!) - Used on Webpages, Guest Books, Emails, Online Dating Sites, MySpace Accounts, Black Planet Accounts, and Most Profile Chat Communities Online
Click the <img> button shown inthe diagram to access these codes. These codes are used primarily for web pages. They can also be used on most Profile(mySpace) & Dating Sites.
Simpley right click the box with the codes, Right Click your mouse, Click Select all, Then right click inside the box again, and click copy. When you are editing your Chat/Date Profile i.e MySpace, simply right click in the EDIT box, and click PASTE.
URLs - Used to share files and images with, Messengers(Yahoo/AOL/MSN/ICQ), Emails, Web Browsers, and Applications
The URL Feature is the Heart and Soul of your file, this is the direct link to access your files outside of myfilehut, if you have important files that you need Clients, Family, or friendsto access, this what you would give them and tell them to type or paste into their URL/ADDRESS box of their web browser.
Most Messenger Services will allow you to paste these codes in the chat box, along with that most messenger service allow the receipiants to Click the link right in the message console itself.
Using these links in emails to tell your family, friends, or clients how they can access a file you want to share with them.
Simpley right click the box with the codes, Right Click your mouse, Click Select all, Then right click inside the box again, and click copy. Then either in your Email Message or Messenger Chat box, right click your mouse, and click Paste.
Links - Used To Create a Clickable Link on Webpages or HTML Supported Web Profiles (mySpace/Date Sites)
These links are used on web pages. Unlike Images, we cannot Show the file directly on the web site, people need to Download the file first and run it on their computer. For those files, you will need to use these codes on your web page, or Profile.
