Most of the cargo transit from Nashik to Pune & Mumbai takes place via Roads; therefore new plans have been chalked out to broaden the current Roadways. A four-way lane has been proposed for Nashik-Mumbai & Nashik-Pune highway. Work for Nashik-Pune highway has already commenced & completed upto Rajgurunagar. The Nashik-Mumbai Roadway work will commence in February 2006. Mr. Devidas Pingale announced that the four laning of Nashik –Mumbai would be extended up to Dhule. Hon’ble Mr. Chhagan Bhujbal PWD Minister declared on 18th Jan 06 that the work will be completed in two years. Four laning of Gonde – Pimpalgaon work had also been started.
The development of internal roads of Nashik is being pursued with the State Government. The fly over work at Nashik road was completed and the work of building a flyover at college road has been commenced.
