  JITENDRA MANOHAR THAKKAR
He is one of the founders of the Nashik citizen’s forum & is currently its secretary since 2003.
He heads the Thakkar Group of Industries, which is the leading name in the field of Real estate development since its inception in 1962 not only in Nashik District but in entire Maharashtra. As a chairman of Thakkar Developers Ltd, the flagship company of the group, Mr.Thakkar has lifted the company to new heights.
He has been the founder & promoters of various associations including Promoters & Builders Association, Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India (CREDAI). He has worked as President & chairman of Legal Committee of Federation of Promotors and Builders Associations of Maharashtra (FPBAM).It was during his FPBAM presidentship, the first ever ‘All India Conference on Housing-Challenges & Solutions’ was organized at New Delhi in November 1998 jointly with Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India and HUDCO. It was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister Mr.Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The conference proved to be historical as it gave a tremendous impetus to a nationwide housing resolution.
He also worked earnestly with like-minded colleagues to establish an organization of real estate developers at the national level.As a result of the same efforts, CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers Associations of India) came into being in September 2001. |
